We start the hydrotherapy session discussing progress or any issue before showering the dog and fitting a harness or buoyancy jacket. The dog will undergo a canine hydrotherapy treatment in the pool or underwater treadmill. After finishing the therapy the dogs are showered followed by a discussion around rehabilitation exercises to be carried out before the next hydrotherapy treatment.
£30 per session which includes pre-hydrotherapy checks, hydrotherapy session, shower and finally rehabilitation exercises to assist your dog’s recovery.
Yes we can do fitness swimming; this is good for a dog’s fitness and improving Cardio-Vascular fitness. It is also good for weight loss.
We are very experienced in canine hydrotherapy and were one of the first canine hydrotherapy centres to open in Devon. The staff are qualified well beyond what the industry require and have extra qualifications in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
Terry and Carly are both on the board of the Institute of Canine Hydrotherapists and Terry was co-opted onto the committee of IRVAP (Institute of Veterinary & Animal Physiotherapists).
These extra qualifications allows us to give you more than just the hydrotherapy treatment, we are qualified to devise a rehabilitation programme that will compliment the hydrotherapy treatment. The centre offers treatments with modalities such as laser, Phototherapy and PEMF Therapy; these go very well with hydrotherapy treatment and can aid a speedy recovery.
